Description
JOSEPHINE German Pointed Shader #0 Mini: Mini. The #0 Pointed Shader is the smallest of the set of German Dresden Brushes. The name may be misleading as a pointed shader brush is SO GOOD for SO MANY OTHER styles. I like to use pointed shaders not only for the classic Dresden and Meissen painting, but also for any petal flower: daisies, violets, forget me nots, etc. They make a wonderful one-stroke petal.
Instructions: load the brush fully; gently twirl the end to get the point back; set the brush on the porcelain – pull slowly towards you and lift it slowly. This is the practice stoke. You can speed it up once you have the technique down pat.
All of the German Pointed Shader Brushes have excellent “memory” and will snap back into shape immediately after each stroke.
Brush Care: For New Brushes: use a gentle dish detergent, such as Dawn or Woollite and clean the sizing or protective coating out of each brush; rinse thoroughly; shape in its natural round size and let dry. Once dry, always keep your brush moist with an Open Medium or Oil. Clean only with Rectified Turpentine or Pure Clove Oil – never harsh cleaners such as Turpenoid. Always recondition your brush in your Open Medium or Oil before storing it away.
If there is a Factory imperfection on NEW brushes, return it immediately for the same brush replacement. Otherwise, brushes are not returnable.
